Will the world end on Oct 21?

Is October 21st the last day of our planet Earth as we know it? Is Jesus really coming back on this day? Why October 21st? These are among the many questions asked surrounding the coming of Jesus. But how did it all start? Here is the answer: It all started with a man named Harold Camping.

Harold Camping says that the world will come to a quick and catastrophic end on October 21st, 2011. We are just a few weeks away and the clock is ticking. Are we running out of time?

The sceptics laugh and say nothing will happen. Both of these viewpoints were predicted in the Bible. It really does not matter what they think or what anyone else thinks. What we need is the truth straight from the Source! Pastor Dan Wilson will be sharing with you the facts about the second coming of Jesus Christ in a series called "THE COMING".

Here are the topics that were covered in "THE COMING" series:

Saturday (October 15) - 6 Days left?
Sunday (October 16) - It's Not Over Yet...
Monday (October 17) - Living Above Fear!

Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm each night.

He Is Coming!

The world does not seem to be confused about the idea that the world will come to an end one day, but the question that rises is when and how? We, as Christians believe that soon the Son of Man will come again and put an end to all the misery and troubles that we face in this world and take us home home beyond the skies. He (Jesus) himself, before His first ascension, declared: 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am". John 14:1-3(NKJV)

The apostle Paul described His coming in these words in I Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NKJV) "For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord".

The gospel of Matthew in chapter 24 we find fascinating prophecies of the last days events (Matthew 24:1-14). All the things described therein have to be fulfilled before He comes again. That is why Jesus warned us to be watchful all the time, watching for the signs of the times so that His coming might not come upon us as a thief in the night (Matthew 24:36-44).
Most of the questions about the second coming of Jesus will be answered in "THE COMING" series that is coming to you this October.
